A message from the president
Greetings and welcome to the official website of the Phi Xi Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®! As the proud President of this esteemed graduate chapter, it is my honor to extend warm regards to our members, our community, and all those who support our mission of service and sisterhood.
As the first graduate chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® in San Marcos, TX, established in 2000, Phi Xi Omega is dedicated to supporting undergraduate sorority members at Texas State University and providing impactful service to Hays, Caldwell, Comal, and Guadalupe counties. We are committed to nurturing and empowering the next generation of leaders. Each member of Phi Xi Omega brings a unique perspective and skill set to our chapter, enriching our collective efforts and ensuring that we are capable of making a meaningful difference in the lives of others. This diversity strengthens our ability to serve our community effectively.
As a proud member of the local Chamber of Commerce, we've formed impactful partnerships with the City of San Marcos for the "Party in Your Park" backpack drive, the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Day March, Juneteenth Celebration with the Dunbar Heritage Association, and support for the area youth council, emphasizing our dedication to community service and empowering local students and future leaders.
As we look ahead to the years 2022-2026, our administration envisions "Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood" under the direction of the 30th International President, Danette Anthony Reed. Sisterhood is at the core of our identity, and service is our fundamental mission.
I am excited to lead our chapter in the fulfillment of our vision, and I am confident that together, we will continue to make a lasting impact in our community and beyond. Thank you for visiting our website, and please explore the many ways in which Phi Xi Omega is making a difference as we strive for excellence in service and sisterhood.
Yours in service and sisterhood,
Tia Glover
