The chartering of Phi Xi Omega Chapter (ΦΞΩ) of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. occurred on February 13, 2000 in San Marcos, TX.  Sixteen phenomenal women lit the torch that will always burn bright in the hearts of today’s chapter members.
Even as an interest group these women were  community  service driven.  Blueprints for programs such as On Track, AKA Coat Day and Buckle-up Safety were designed in December 1999.

In the spirit of our phenomenal chartering members, Phi Xi Omega continues to focus on sponsoring programs that are beneficial to our community. To date, Phi Xi Omega has hosted numerous community service projects including: promoting  and participating in the African American Read In,  MLK Day Activities, Hayes County Women Shelter Outreach, Scholarship Awards, Sponsored Mission trip to Africa, Early Readers Become Leaders Book Drive, Adopt a Family, and Something for the Sistas etc.

Phi Xi Omega is dedicated to the San Marcos community and will always work diligently to make the words of our beloved national hymn and pledge true.  We will “Do things that are worthwhile” and be “Supreme in service to all mankind”.
