Welcome to the official website for the members of the Phenomenal  Phi XI Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®!

As the only graduate chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® , established in San Marcos, TX, we supervise a group of undergraduate sorority members attending  Texas State university and provide meaningful  service to the counties of Hays, Caldwell, Comal and Guadalupe. Our members consist of extremely talented, dedicated and inspiring college-educated women who are committed to upholding the ideals of our sisterhood and becoming change agents in the community.  We might be the smallest chapter in our cluster, but we are a mighty force and  a beacon ready to work hard for the city of San Marcos and the surrounding counties.

Under the leadership of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® 29th International President Dr. Glenda Glover 2018-2022 signature program “Exemplifying Excellence Through Sustainable Service”, our members executed activities in the five target areas: HBCU for Life, Women’s Healthcare and Wellness, Building Your Economic Legacy, The Arts!, and Global Impact.

For 2022-2026, we will be “Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood” under the direction  the 30th International  President, Danette Anthony Reed.  Sisterhood is the foundation and service is our core mission.  Strengthening Our Sisterhood supports our service mission through five (5) additional program initiatives; Empower Our Families, Build our Economic Wealth, Enhance our Environment, Advocate For Social Justices and Uplift our Local Community.

Chartered in 2000, Phi Xi Omega is a member of the local Chamber of Commerce and have long standing partners in the area.   We partner with the City of San Marcos for “Party in Your Park” backpack and school supply drive, Dunbar Heritage Association for annual  Dr. Martin Luther King Day March/Celebration events  and  Juneteenth Celebration and  support of area   youth programs such as School Fuel and  the Greater San Marcos Youth Shelter. In implementing these targets, Phi Xi Omega chapter members provide the community with quality programming events and award annual educational scholarships.

We invite you to get to know more about our sorority, international programs, chapter members and our community initiatives through this website and our Social Media pages.

With Warmest Regards,

Cheryl Neal-Green
